Rainy day afternoon, second session at stacking up blocks on Mudfire ][. Note: no special effects or photo manipulation was used in the making of these photos.
Exhaust in the foreground, this time coming out the side. Fire tunnel out there on the left.
Exhaust at the lower left. In the center, the combustion chamber is twice as tall, with fifty percent more chambers and, yes, twice as stupid with all that vitrified clay up the middle of the chamber. I would prefer to be using one of those ceramic, rounded-rectangular commercial flue tiles but that would require a trip to a store - not going to happen anytime soon.
Fire tunnel off to the right. In the foreground, the mudsonry tools: a float and trowel. Srsly.
Fire tunnel.
See that right-triangle in the center? That's the peep-hole directly across from the exhaust port. Might have to plug it up with mud....
It's not apparent in this photo, but things are generally more lined-up with the world in Mudfire ][ than the first attempt.
